Daily diary – April 19 2025

We had wonderful sailing conditions today, although the morning was a bit windier, this didn’t stop us from having a fantastic day!
In the morning, we set out into the bay and came across a humpback whale! This one was diving for 10 minutes each time, but we saw its beautiful fluke! As it was diving for a long time, we wanted to give it space and went to explore the rest of the bay. We came across a small pod of white-beaked dolphins! There were about 8-10 individuals! In the distance we also saw a minke whale!!

The wind calmed down a lot for the afternoon! The sea was beautifully calm! We headed out into the bay again and found a bigger pod of white-beaked dolphins! There were a lot more this time and they were spread out quite a bit! There were even some calves! After enjoying their company we went searching for more and finally came across a humpback whale! It was a different individual than in the morning! It came right towards us and kept swimming underneath all the boats!
