Daily diary – August 20 2025

A sunny summer day in Reykjavik today with magnificent conditions.

Despite the beautiful weather, the whales were relatively shy. This morning we were lucky enough to spot a humpback whale very close to the harbour. Then we saw lots of minke whales along the way and even some white-beaked dolphins.

In the afternoon, after a long search, we observed lots of minke whales and a magnificent humpback whale.

It was a beautiful day, and tomorrow the conditions are set to be just as good!
