Daily diary – August 24 2025

Much better conditions today – calm seas and moderate wind from the south.

On todays whale watching tours, we saw a lot of minke whales, a pod of a lively white-beaked dolphins and humpback whales. In the morning, two grown-up humpbacks were swimming alongside – super relaxed, just chilling on the surface or going for short dives. Many times we saw their beautiful, almost completely white flukes that we were happy to see again in the afternoon.

The rest of the day was like entering an open buffet – minke, dolphins and as many as 5 humpbacks were hunting, creating bubble nets and lunge feeding very close to our boats. Fantastic show!
