Daily diary – August 26 2025

A very windy day of whale watching.
The wind had a good direction because it was coming from the land and was very gentle. However, the wind made finding whales more difficult. This morning on the Whale Route, we encountered a white-beaked dolphin. It snowed very close to the boat for a while, then went off on its own. Then we found a humpback whale. It was great; it was very calm, swimming very close to the boat, and showed us its tail twice.
This afternoon, it was more complicated. The wind picked up, and we weren’t able to find any whales. We did find some dolphins; they were very furtive. So, visitors can come back for free whenever they want.
