Daily diary – December 19 2024

We set out into the strong easterly winds and headed to the islands just outside of Reykjavik! We soon found the three humpback whales feeding in the same area! There were so many birds in the area feeding as well. The individual whale was doing a lot more feeding and coming up more regularly, so we stayed watching that one. There was also a few harbour porpoises feeding in the area too and we saw a seal bottling near the humpback whale too. We then tried watching the pair of humpback whales. They would surface for longer but then would dive much longer. It was such a lovely tour despite the wind!
