Daily diary – February 19 2025

Perfect conditions at sea today! The water was flat, with just a bit of wind but no waves—ideal conditions. No one got seasick, as the ocean was as calm as a lake. Moreover, we had 8°C today, which is very good for February. There were a few drops of rain, but nothing too bad.
We left this morning, and after half an hour of sailing, we spotted a pod of harbour porpoises. They were very fast, as they are quite shy. Then, after a long search, we finally found what we were looking for: two beautiful humpback whales! We saw their tails up close to the boat several times.
The afternoon was quite similar, but even better—we had a group of white-beaked dolphins swimming around the boat for 10 minutes. What a beautiful sight! Tomorrow’s conditions should be just as good, with plenty of marine life to observe.
