Daily diary – January 7 2025

We had really calm seas today with practically no wind, however, the temperature was still below freezing! We were still very excited to go out and just wrapped up very warm! We sailed around for a bit before we finally saw a blow! It was a humpback whale that we’ve seen in the area for the last 2 weeks. It was staying very close to the surface so we got to see it a lot! After some time, we went to explore the other part of the area but only came across a few seals, so we headed back towards the humpback whale, and found another individual! There were so many grey and harbour seals around the boat! About 10-20! One even appeared in front of the boat eating a fish!
