Daily diary – July 28 2025

A day of whale watching, a little complicated, but a success nonetheless. There was a bit of wind and rain, but the wind was coming off the land so it didn’t bring in any waves, and no one got sick. This morning we set out on a whale watch and quickly found lots of minke whales. Some appeared very close to the boat, but they were still quite fast and shy. We also observed two groups of white-beaked dolphins, one of which swam very close to the boat. It was fantastic.
The afternoon was a little more complicated with very rainy conditions. But that didn’t discourage the passengers!
They were able to observe a minke whale and, at the end, a humpback whale that showed its tail twice.
The next few days promise to be exciting!
