Daily diary – June 17 2025

Rainy conditions today, but still excellent overall, as the sea was incredibly calm and there was very little wind.

This morning on the way out, we saw harbour porpoises swimming around the boat. After a while, we started seeing blows and spotted a humpback whale. It was quite calm, but eventually showed us its fluke as it dived — it was magnificent.

We continued our trip and saw some minke whales. Then, in the distance, another humpback approached and also showed us its tail.

This afternoon was similar, with more minke whales and humpbacks, some very close to the boat.

The next few days are looking fantastic!
