Daily diary – June 23 2025

Every whale watching tour is different, even the same day can bring variety! All in all, we managed to see all four species today!

We started the day with harbour porpoises but they swam away pretty fast, we didn´t have to wait long for humpbacks to appear though!

The afternoon was mainly dedicated to humpbacks, we saw around 9 different individuals!

In the evening, we got very lucky to see a humpback whale creating so called “bubble net” to trap fish and a pod of white-beaked dolphins dancing around, trying to get advantage of humback´s hard work and snack on some herring. Other humpbacks appeared shortly after – one of them felt very energetic and treated us to a lot of breaching and flipper waving. On the way back, we also had a brief encounter with a minke whale. What a fantastic day it was!
