Daily diary – March 12 2025

A very cloudy day today, but there was minimal wind and the sea was mostly calm. We headed out into Faxafloi Bay and found a minke whale! It only surfaced 3 times so we continued on through the bay and soon came across of 20 white-beaked dolphins. They were travelling together and we could see a mother and calf pair! As we headed even further out, we soon came across 2 humpback whales! We stayed with one of them and watched as it swam around before diving for long times!

The weather in the afternoon was quite similar. We first found a group of White beaked dolphins around 10-15 of them. Then soon after we found a minke whale and we saw him quite well and many times. Then we spotted a humpback whale the same one we have been spotting the last couple of weeks. Quite smaller than average humpback whale and this one never show its fluke.
