Daily diary – March 29 2025

Today we had very cold, northernly winds coming over, so the sea was a little bit wavy here and there. However, it was a beautiful sunny day with bright blue skies so we were all very happy.

This morning we were searching for a long time before catching a glimpse of a harbour porpoise! We carried on for a while longer before finding a pod of 3-5 white-beaked dolphins. Unfortunately we were only able to see them a few times before they disappeared. Because we weren’t able to see the two species for a longer time, we offered everyone complimentary tickets to try again.

The afternoon was much more successful! After an hour of searching, we came across a minke whale! It went for a dive, and as we were waiting… a pod of 6-8 white-beaked dolphins came over to see us! They were swimming with us for so long! We then came across another pod of 10-12 dolphins…and then another and another and another! Off in the distance we saw so many dolphins jumping and splashing! By the end of the tour we saw over 60-80 dolphins! It was incredible.
