Daily diary – May 17 2025

Although the sun was still shining today, the wind had picked up and the waves were a bit choppy. But we still ventured out into the beautiful bay.

This morning, on our RIB boat, we first found some white-beaked dolphins that were feeding. They were swimming back and forth really fast. We headed a little bit further onward and soon came across so many birds feeding. Here we also found a humpback whale and another pod of white-beaked dolphins that were feeding too.

On our afternoon tour, the RIB boat headed out to where we saw the humpback whale in the morning, but unfortunately it was not there anymore! We searched a little further towards the mountains and soon came across some white-beaked dolphins. We stayed with them briefly before finding out another boat had found the humpback whale! We saw its beautiful pectoral fins through the water and saw its rostrum as it broke the surface of the water.
