Daily diary – May 23 2025

A great day of whale watching today. The conditions weren’t perfect, there were a few waves but our boat Amelia Rose was very sandy so we didn’t have any sick people.

In the morning we went whale watching in Whale fjord. After several minutes of searching we found it slightly on the outside. It was very fast and changed direction a lot. It popped twice close to the boat, showing its tail, which was great.

In the afternoon we found the same humpback whale. She was feeding by sticking her head out of the water very close to the boat, which was wonderful. We found another humpback whale on the way back. It was calmer than the previous one.

Considering the humpback whales we have here, the next few days are going to be great!
