Daily diary – October 17 2024

Today we went out with Amelia Rose for our 9:15am and 1:15pm tours.
And both our tours were a great success!
On the first tour we saw Minke Whales as well as 5 Humpback Whales in the bay. On the second tour we came across a group of 4 White Beaked Dolphins escorting a large Humpback Whale.
The latter put on a real show for us! We were lucky enough to get a huge jump not far from the boat, as well as a tail slap and a lot of fluke.
It’s always a pleasure to see that the whales feel confident enough with our boats to approach them on their own. It shows that we don’t scare them and that’s very important to us.
