Daily diary – October 23 2024

A great day despite the rain here in Reykjavik.
Sea conditions were calm, few waves and the wind died down during the day.
This morning, it took us a long time to find the first dorsal fins. But then we spotted two humpback whales, some minke whales and a few stealthy white-beaked dolphins. It took us a while to get back, but the main thing was to see the whales!
The afternoon was splendid, with at least 6 humpback whales, including a group of 3 close to the boat that showed their fluke several times. We also spotted a few minke whales.

Tomorrow looks very good before probably a changing weather Friday and Saturday.
