Daily diary – October 28 2024

It was a very wet day today with lots of rain and wind. However, sea conditions were calm on the whole.
It wasn’t easy to find the whales with the rain and poor visibility, but we did it!

We were lucky enough to see a humpback whale in the middle of Faxafloi Bay both in the morning and afternoon.
We were able to see its tail on several occasions, but it dived for a very long time, sometimes almost 15 minutes underwater. So we had to be patient, but patience paid off, it was a good wet day!

Tomorrow the sea conditions are deteriorating, so we’re waiting for the latest forecasts in the morning before the tour to know if we’ll be going.
