Daily diary – September 1 2025

Wind from the north made the sea quite rough today but the visibility was perfect, so all in all good conditions to spot whales.
In the morning we had a close meeting with a minke whale, on the way back we saw a big and playful pod of white beaked dolphins!
The afternoon tour was nothing but a sort of delight – it started with a pod of our smallest whales, harbour porpoises. Not that far away, we spotted a minke and again, a big pod of dolphins with many calves swimming alongside with grown-ups. As a cherry on top, we spotted a blow in the distance – beautiful humpback that seemed to be a bit shy at first, taking quite long dives… just to performance a full breach 30 meters from our boat! We couldn´t think of a better start of a new month.
