Daily diary – September 15 2025

We couldn´t ask for better conditions today – great visibility, calm seas and no wind.

Already near the harbour, we spotted a pod of 8-10 harbour porpoises and surprisingly, we continued sailing among other pods of these species even further in the bay. You could tell there was a lot of fish in the area because all other species were there – a pod of white-beaked dolphins decided to check us out, we saw as many as 12-14 minke whales and 4 grown-up humpbacks lunge feeding. Fantastic show!

We decided to head straight to the same area in the afternoon, and we were left in awe. First, 3 grown-up humpbacks breached, one after another! Later, a half-sized juvenile joined them and all 4 continued with synchronized lunge feeding. Many minkies were spotted in the distance too.
