Daily diary – September 5 2025

We started the day with good conditions and favorable visibility.

We headed out straight to the open bay and it didn´t take us long to find two solitary minke whales surfacing relatively close to us. It was a good warm up before seeing as many as 6 humpback whales in total! They were pretty relaxed, not bothered by our presence, some of them were taking long dives but then showed us their beautiful tails every time.

We spent the afternoon with 4 humpbacks this time, so we call the day a success!
