This was truly one of those memorable nights. As soon as we left the harbour, the auroras were already visible in the sky. It looked promising, but we know that with auroras, we have learned never to get our hopes up too much. Yet that green colour became increasingly intense and it seemed as if everything had been planned on purpose. As soon as we moved away from the city lights and entered the darkness of Kollafjordur, the real show began, a play of intense green and pink lights and dances that lit up the sky for about 5 minutes. We don’t see something like this very often…Pure magic!
