Forecast from Vedur.is : Clear skies above Reykjavik, good KP index. The tour is on!

Comment: It was one of those nights where patience proved to be the key to a good aurora borealis show. The conditions were perfect: a cloudless, starry sky, calm sea and almost no wind! The aurora made us wait, because it was only around 10:40 p.m. that a delicate arc appeared above Mount Esja. With time, the aurora spread across the entire sky, creating beautiful, dancing ribbons. It was worth the wait!
