Sunrise: 9:52 UTC

Sunset: 17:46 UTC

Kp: 4/9

Moon status: 76,2 % illuminated

Forecast from Vedur.is : Cloudy sky above Reykjavik, high KP index. The tour is on!

Comment:

This evening we were very hopeful of seeing the aurora. As forecast, the sky was indeed covered with clouds, although there were a few patches here and there and we know that in Iceland everything can change suddenly. The Kp index remained high and if it hadn’t been for all those clouds, we would have seen the aurora. Despite patience and hope, the cloud layer became increasingly dense, leaving no room for even a single star. We know that nature cannot be controlled.
