Northern lights diary – November 25th 2025

A calm night on the water, with only slight waves, and almost no wind, it was a wonderful night to be on the water. The sky was forecast to have patchy clouds, and we found that to be pretty accurate when we headed out. Very early on we started seeing the green glow of the aurora, but it always seemed to be exactly where the clouds were! It was very frustrating.

But we persevered and as the sky directly over head was perfectly clear we enjoyed star gazing and looking at the Imagine Peace tower whilst we waited.

Then, all at once we were rewarded! The aurora appeared directly overhead, swirling and dancing and bright green. Absolutely sensational. Everyone was very happy with the result of the chase!
