Morning Tour

Today’s morning whale watching tour offered a truly Icelandic adventure. Strong northern winds and rough seas set the scene as we headed into Faxaflói Bay, where an exceptionally active feeding area awaited us. The bay was alive with seabirds diving and circling above the action, while no fewer than seven humpback whales put on an incredible display. Guests enjoyed watching these giants actively hunting, surfacing repeatedly, even creating bubble nets to gather their prey. Their constant movement and energetic feeding behaviour kept smiles on everyone’s faces throughout the tour.

Afternoon Tour

The excitement continued into the afternoon as the bay remained full of wildlife. Several humpback whales were spotted on the tour, keeping us entertained with their graceful surfacings. Adding to the diversity of sightings, we also encountered a few minke whales moving through the area. As we made our way back towards the harbour, a small pod of harbour porpoises crossed our path, providing a lovely final encounter to round off a fantastic day at sea. Despite the challenging conditions, the wildlife activity was outstanding and made for an unforgettable experience.
