Whale Watching Daily Diary – April 13th 2026
The conditions on Faxaflói were much more pleasant today, with generally good weather that made for a very enjoyable tour. Although there was a bit of wave movement, the sea conditions allowed us to comfortably explore the bay and fully appreciate the experience.
We headed out into the open waters, and before long, we were rewarded with incredible wildlife activity. Throughout the tour, we encountered an amazing number of humpback whales, between 10 and 15 individuals, making it an unforgettable day out on the water. Many of them came quite close to the boat, giving us fantastic and prolonged views of these majestic animals.
In addition to the whales, we were also delighted to spot puffins, adding even more charm to the trip as they dotted the sea and flew around us.
The conditions remained good for the entire journey, allowing everyone on board to enjoy the sightings and the beautiful surroundings of Faxaflói.
A truly memorable day with outstanding whale activity and great weather!
