Whale Watching Daily Diary – December 10th 2025
It was a blustery morning, but it eased off a little this afternoon, so we could go out and try to find the whales. We started out scanning the water and it wasn´t long before we found a large group of white-beaked dolphins. They played with the yacht, zig-zagging under the bow and turning onto their sides to look up at us!
After we left them, we came across the humpback whales in between the islands. Today they were super active – it was evidently cleaning day – they smacked their different fins against the surface of the water multiple times. This dislodges any parasites and dead skin cells, keeping them clean and therefore healthy! But how do they clean their body? Well with a great big jump of course! One of the whales shot out of the water – breaching high – then landed with an almighty splash! What an awesome tour.
