Whale Watching Daily Diary – December 26th 2025
Finally, the rain gave us a break and we were able to enjoy a tour without getting wet, but the wind was still strong today. However, that didn’t stop us from going out sailing for another day in Faxafloi Bay.
After only 10 minutes of sailing, we spotted a few harbor porpoises surfing the waves. We even saw some jumps that allowed us to see almost the entire tiny body of the harbor porpoise. Very cute!
Everywhere we looked, we found small, stealthy, and curious black heads. They were seals! And we were lucky enough to see many of them!
And the icing on the cake: the two humpback whales that are now regular visitors to our coast. What a sight! They broke the waves with their incredible bodies and twice surprised us by appearing very close to our boats.
Breathtaking moments! Thank you whales!`
