Whale Watching Daily Diary – December 30th 2025

It was pretty cloudy today with flat seas between the islands, though we hit some small waves once we got further out on our search for a whale.

We spent ages looking around without finding much except for a few harbour porpoises. Which we love but we know our customers want big whales! Just when we were thinking it might be a quiet day, we spotted a humpback whale right by the harbour! It was great to finally get a good sighting after all that searching. The calm conditions between the islands made it easy to spot when the whale surfaced, and we got some nice close looks at it before heading back in.
