Whale Watching Daily Diary – December 2nd 2025

After the windy weekend we were thrilled with today, it was cold but the sea was calm. And when we say cold…the sea was starting to freeze so in areas it was like driving through a Slushy!

The whales didn´t mind the cold though, they were there – but it took us a really long time to find them. We are so glad that we persevered because first we found harbour porpoises darting about and then two huge humpback whales. They were very curious today – swimming right under the bow of the yacht, and doing many, many tail dives. The highlight of the day was one doing a massive breach – jumping high into the air and landing with a collossal splash! Amazing!

All in all a lovely day on the water with clear skies, snow capped mountains and an incredible sunset on the way home.
