Whale Watching Daily Diary – December 31st 2025

Humpback whale tail fluke viewed from a luxury whale watching tour from Reykjavik in Iceland

The day arrived—the last tours of the year. And what magnificent ones they were!

We began with a morning tour that blessed us with a sunny dawn, clear skies, and calm waters. And the afternoon tour, even with a little more wind, left us with amazing colors in the sky. It was a privilege to see the last sunset of the year in Faxafloi Bay.

On both tours, we were lucky enough to see two humpback whales, this time separated. One in each different area. They put on a show for us, appearing very close to our boats and taking our breath away.

What better way to end the year than this? Thank you all for joining us during this incredible year of sightings and memorable moments.

Happy New Year! Let’s raise a toast tonight to another year of incredible encounters in the ocean.
