Whale Watching Daily Diary – February 10th 2026

Reykjavik Iceland, whale watching Tour photo; Humpback tail fluke diving

Morning Tour

Another incredible day on Faxaflói, with sunshine, almost no wind, and calm seas. Conditions honestly couldn’t have been better. Not long after leaving Reykjavík harbour, we spotted two humpback whales in the area. They were calm and gave us plenty of time to watch them surface and dive.

On top of that, seals were everywhere today, popping up around the boat. With the sunrise reflecting off the flat ocean, the whole morning felt peaceful and beautiful.

Afternoon Tour

The afternoon stayed just as perfect, with bright sunshine and plenty of vitamin D. The two humpback whales were still around, but this time they had separated, each moving through different parts of the bay.

As a real bonus, we saw a very quick individual of a common dolphin, a rare and exciting sight at this latitude.

Seals, humpback whales, dolphins, and incredible weather made for a truly exceptional day on the sea.
