Whale Watching Daily Diary – February 13th 2026

whale watching - humpback whale jumps fully out of the water, a beautiful breach

Despite the chilly air, the sea was super calm, creating perfect conditions for a magical day out on the water. In the morning, we were joined by two incredible humpback whales who were very active. To our amazement, they breached a total of 20 times. Seeing such powerful animals launching themselves out of the water again and again was simply breathtaking. Every splash brought cheers from everyone on board.

In the afternoon, the mood shifted. Our humpbacks became calmer, but they stayed very close to the boat, allowing us to admire their graceful movements just beneath the surface. Watching their massive bodies glide silently through the sea, so near that we could hear their blows clearly, was an unforgettable experience.

Friday the 13th may have a reputation for bad luck, but today proved the opposite. With spectacular sightings and smiling faces all around, it was truly a day to remember out on the ocean.
