Whale Watching Daily Diary – February 14th 2026

Today we have very strong winds and freezing air; the sea conditions were a little bit choppy but perfect for an unforgettable Valentine’s Day out on the water near Reykjavík. The morning brought pure magic as two incredible humpback whales appeared and stayed with the boat. Watching these giants move so gracefully in the wild, even on such a cold day, felt truly special.

In the afternoon, the experience continued with playful seals at the surface and very curious, elegant northern gannets diving dramatically into the sea. And once again, the two humpback whales were very close to us. From majestic humpbacks to incredible seabirds, this Valentine’s Day was filled with unforgettable wildlife moments and pure ocean magic.
