Whale Watching Daily Diary – February 9th 2026

Morning Tour

Flat ocean conditions in Reykjavík today: calm seas, great visibility, and no wind. Perfect whale watching weather. Shortly after leaving the harbour, we encountered two humpback whales. The two individuals were relaxed, travelling together and showing their flukes close to the boat. A peaceful and beautiful start to the day.

Afternoon Tour

The afternoon tour offered similarly amazing conditions, with the ocean still smooth and clear. We found the same two humpback whales again, this time moving more actively through the area. Watching them surface and dive in the flat light was a real highlight.

Two tours, same incredible whales, and truly perfect conditions on Faxaflói.
