Whale Watching Daily Diary – January 10th 2026

Very calm seas and great visibility today! It was quite cold, that’s true – but it was worth staying outside today because there was so much going on!

We started as usual, with two adult humpback whales. At first, both were quite active and showed us their tails. After about an hour, one decided to take a nap, and the other swam away towards the islands. In the meantime, we were also surrounded by dozens of harbour seals! They were popping up here and there. Following the seals with our eyes, we saw a third humpback, a wonderful experience. As if that weren’t enough, we also tracked down quite a large pod of harbour porpoises. Not bad for January!
