Whale Watching Daily Diary – January 19th 2026
We set our sails out under clear skies, but during today´s tour we got all possible weather conditions: sunny, windy, rainy and snowy. Even so, the wind didn’t affect the swell too much, which allowed us to head out safely.
A humpback whale was the first species spotted today, very close to the west side of Viðey. Despite pretty big waves, we were able to see it clearly, with a couple of beautiful tails! We were also lucky enough to spot a grey seal along our route, which got curious and approached our boat very close, to around 20 meters!
The very last encounter was surprising, as we spotted a pod of common dolphins! Even for some of our crew members, it was the very first time seeing them. Lucky for us, they were really playful and we got a chance to take a close look.
Amazing day!
