Whale Watching Daily Diary – January 24th 2026

It was still one of the windier days on Faxafloi, but otherwise the weather was perfect, and we even managed to catch some rays!

Today, our two beautiful humpbacks were just a few minutes away from the harbor! We spotted the first two blows just southwest of Viðey. They gave us some beautiful tail dives up close, both towards us and away from us, so we could see their unique markings!

Meanwhile, a curious harbor seal popped up here and there around our ship.

It was a beautiful day, and we hope there will be more days like this, where we feel like the whales found us, and not the other way around.
