Whale Watching Daily Diary – January 5th 2025

Humpback whale back as it dives

Today Reykjavik woke up covered in a thin layer of snow. But with no wind and not too cold, we set out to sail another day out to sea.

We were just as lucky as we had been in recent days, seeing humpback whales very close to land. These majestic animals taught us to wait calmly for them on the surface of the water.

What a privilege it was to watch these whales at sunset.
