Whale Watching Daily Diary – November 26th 2025
It was a bit overcast as we headed out this morning, but even when its grey Iceland is beautiful – the mountains look very dramatic and ominous.
We first saw a lot of birds feeding so headed over to check it out, as we often see birds feeding with the whales but there was nothing there with them and we continued on our search.
Recently the whales have been in between the islands so we headed to the place we last saw them, and on the way there we saw a blow! They weren´t in exactly the same place but in the same area. We were delighted to find them again, the same two hump backs that we saw yesterday!
They gave us a beautiful show, arching their backs and showing their tails. Everyone was very happy with it!
In the afternoon we set out again, hoping the whales were in the same area as we had left them before lunch. It took a bit of searching but they had stayed roughly in the same area. They were very chill, giving us a few incredible tail dives, but mostly just logging and relaxing. Whilst we are always super thrilled if they jump or do acrobatics it is nice to see how comfortable they are with our presence near them.
