Whale Watching Daily Diary – October 10 2025

Fantastic weather conditions in our bay, especially when compared to the recent windy days, when we either had to cancel whale watching or didn’t see any whales.

Today was a wonderful change! We set out in the rain in the morning, but the sea was calm and visibility was good. We sailed far out, but it paid off because we encountered a beautiful humpback whale. It was an adult, swimming alone, surfacing at 6-minute intervals, and we could admire its blows, splashes, and tail!

On the afternoon tour, we headed straight to the spot where we had previously encountered the humpback. This time, we encountered not one, but three adult whales swimming peacefully together. They were very relaxed and did not seem bothered by the audience at all. To the delight of the passengers, they allowed us to approach them at a distance of several dozen meters — and again, we saw these gentle giants surfacing gracefully and some really great tails.

We consider this day a success!
