Whale Watching Daily Diary – October 30th 2025

Today was not much different from yesterday – in the best possible way!

The sea was incredibly calm all day long, and the sun was shining brightly. So despite the chilly wind, we were able to admire today’s finds… and there was plenty to see.

Once again, two humpbacks were waiting for us right at the harbour wall. These are the same adult individuals that have been swimming together around the islands for several weeks now. Not far away, we also spotted a minke whale – a large individual, probably a female. At first a little shy, it later emerged from the water every now and then, probably looking for food in the shallow coastal waters. At the very end, we saw a tall blow again. We realised that it was a third humpback that had joined the group of whales feeding near the harbour. It’s really amazing to see these giants swimming so close to the shore!

A great day!
