Daily diary – September 30 2024

By Marine Guide ·

It was a cold morning today, we took the boats this morning and were surprised to see the tops of the mountains all white with snow. That didn’t stop us from seeing some marine animals.
We left with Amelia Rose this morning and Black Pearl our RIB boat, after about 30 minutes of searching we came across a group of 3 Humpback whales. They were very calm as if they were sleeping, we could easily see them swimming under the surface of the water. The RIB boat was also able to observe a group of White Beaked Dolphins.

As for the afternoon, although the atmosphere was a little warmer thanks to the beautiful blue skies we had, a fresh north wind accompanied us during our tours. We furiously spotted a Minke Whale as we left the harbour, and we came across the same group of 3 humpback whales as earlier in the day a little further offshore. Then we saw a 4th Humpback whale on the way back.
