Humpback whale flukes top side

Morning Tour

This morning in Reykjavík, we were treated to an incredible humpback whale sighting. First, we spotted a single humpback before three whales came together near the boats.
They put on an amazing display, spy-hopping, tail-slapping, and pectoral fin-slapping repeatedly. The whales stayed close to us for quite a while, giving everyone fantastic views.
One of the whales is already known for its curious nature and is returning for its sixth summer in Faxaflói Bay. We are so glad to see him back this summer!

Afternoon Tour

Our afternoon and evening tours were filled with fantastic humpback whale encounters. Today we also offered the first evening tour of the season! We spent time with around five to six humpback whales throughout the trips. The whales were incredibly curious and frequently approached the boats for a closer look.
One particularly inquisitive humpback even swam directly beneath our boat, giving us a truly unforgettable moment. Several whales surfaced close by, allowing everyone to enjoy excellent views and great photo opportunities.
Their playful and relaxed behavior made for a memorable end to a wonderful day in Faxaflói Bay.
