Whale Watching Daily Diary – April 14th 2026

Today’s conditions on Faxaflói were very favorable, creating a perfect setting for our whale watching tour. There was a bit of wave movement, but overall the weather was good and made the experience comfortable and enjoyable for everyone on board.

As we headed out into the bay and after 30 minutesout , we began to see signs of activity. It turned out to be an incredible day, with sightings of around 10 humpback whales throughout the tour. The whales were very active, and several of them came close to the boat, giving us amazing and memorable encounters.

We were also lucky to spot puffins and northern gannets along the way, both resting on the water and flying around us, adding even more to the experience.

The good conditions stayed with us for the entire trip, allowing us to fully enjoy the wildlife and the beautiful surroundings of Faxaflói.
