Whale Watching Daily Diary – March 29th 2026

By Marine Guide ·

The weather this March hasn’t been kind – today we set out on another whale-watching tour in strong winds and rough seas. However, the conditions were still safe for spotting marine mammals!

Once again, we set out into the open waters of Faxafloi Bay. At one point, we spotted some fast and agile harbour porpoises! This time, they gave us the chance to get a closer look – around four individuals, lots of splashes, but they surfaced close to our boat several times!

We ended the tour with this encounter with the smallest cetaceans in our bay.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, we had to cancel the afternoon whale-watching tour.
