Whale Watching Daily Diary – May 14th 2026

Morning tour

This morning in Faxaflói we sailed on a calm sea under cloudy skies with slight rain.
Our first sightings were a few minke whales moving peacefully through the bay.
Later, a group of dolphins came very close to the boat, swimming calmly beside us without jumping.
The highlight of the tour was a humpback whale spotted in the northern part of the bay.
The humpback surprised everyone by jumping twice right in front of the boat.
Despite the grey weather, the wildlife activity made for an unforgettable morning at sea.

Afternoon tour

This afternoon we sailed across Faxaflói under quiet sea conditions and overcast skies.
Unfortunately, no whales or dolphins were spotted during the tour.
Even without sightings, the calm atmosphere and fresh ocean air made for a peaceful experience on the bay. Nature can be unpredictable, and every trip on the ocean is always different.
