Whale Watching Daily Diary – May 15th 2026

Morning tour

This morning conditions on Faxaflói were difficult – the waves were noticeable aboard and there was a strong southern wind. Luckily, the visibility remained good for the whole day.
The whales made us wait for quite some time today and our first sightings were white-beaked dolphins actively playing with waves! Every here and there dozens of puffins were to be spotted too.
Despite the grey weather, the wildlife activity made for an unforgettable morning at sea.

Afternoon tour

The afternoon conditions remained equally rough.
Unfortunately, no whales or dolphins were spotted during the tour, so we offered our passengers a complimentary ticket. Nature can be unpredictable, and every trip on the ocean is always different.
