Despite a rainy and cloudy day, it was a magical day!

The humpback whales kindly let us share their meal with them. They were so close to the boat that we could even observe their baleens plates. The baleens plates are composed of keratin like our nails and hair, they are an evolution of the mineralized teeth we have. And they are used to filter the sea water. In Faxaflói Bay the Humpback whales feed on sandeels and plankton.

As is often the case, the white-beaked dolphins were also there to eat, but above all they enjoyed bothering the humpback whales.
