Daily diary – August 9 2024

One of the best day of the year..

The sun was out all day, making for dreamy conditions… but that’s not all. As we arrived this morning near a pod of dolphins, we spotted a whale in the distance. We approached it and saw it breach out non-stop. A dozen jumps, then flippers slaps and again a dozen jumps.
We’d rarely seen such intensity, it was incredible.

What’s more, there were whales all around us all day, more than a dozen of them. An amazing sight, it’s clear that it’s almost impossible to see a whale on our tours at the moment!
